Identity
Finding and then establishing one's identity is a difficult and long journey. The pressure to conform to what others around you are doing or expect you to do can shape you both positively and negatively. What shapes one's identity?
01
Decisions
Life can take you down many different routes all depending on the decisions you make: dribble, pass, shoot. These decisions lead to what make up one's identity.
02
Clarity
How people see you and what your true identity is sometimes differs, creating different levels or shades of your identity. The more vantage points from which one's identity is viewed creates less and less clarity in one's true identity.
03
Uncertainty
There are points at which one's identity is bound to change, good, bad, or indifferent. The points of uncertainty, where one does not have the ball yet in their hands, shape one's identity more so than any point of certainty.
04
Self-Reflection
One does not always accept their identity. One is not always satisfied with themselves. Self-reflections on one's identity allows for growth, but can also cause growth to stalemate. Identity is ever changing and calls for constant self-reflection.
05
Surroundings
Everything that surrounds you affects your identity: negatively, positively, an indifferently. It is difficult and some times impossible to disconnect one's surroundings and one's identity.
